Lunch Bunch – Pack a Lunch, Help our Unsheltered Neighbors

Each week we pack and distribute 20 lunches for our unsheltered neighbors in downtown McKinney. You can help in several ways! The easiest (and most needed way) is to sign up to purchase food. CLICK HERE for the sign up. Bring the food to the church ASAP to be packed. You can also help pack the lunches on Wednesdays at 11:30 in the Conference Room. Donations can also be made with “homeless” as the memo to go toward the purchase of Gatorades, sacks, etc. Email Caitlin for more information.

Together with local churches and Emmanuel Labor, we are helping to shelter our unhoused friends during severe weather. There are several ways you can serve. We’re a special stop on the Holiday Tour of Homes! This is a great way to share the heart of Christ from the heart of McKinney. There will be hundreds of visitors who stop by to see our historic sanctuary and learn about our church. Would you like to help? We have several needs: greeters, docents, decoration team, and more. Email Paula to sign up and learn more.
The tour is December 7th from 10am to 5pm and December 8th from 1pm to 5pm.

Charge Conference 2024
First United Methodist McKinney will be hosting the 2024 Charge Conference.
The Charge Conference for First Methodist McKinney and Melissa UMC will take place on Sunday, November 17, as part of a cluster beginning at 3:00pm. The Conference will meet in the Sanctuary. You are welcome to attend. This meeting is for year-end reports.
