Weddings

We are honored that you are considering First United Methodist Church for your wedding. The staff wishes you much happiness in your life together and sincerely hopes that we can help make your wedding a sacred and beautiful event.

Our historic sanctuary is available for weddings of up to 400 in attendance. Built in 1901, it features glorious stained glass windows and a beautiful pipe organ.

For smaller weddings, we offer our chapel, which seats approximately 40 guests.

The Church Street Auditorium, located just across the street from the main building at 306 N. Church Street, is an elegant facility featuring columns and crystal chandeliers. It is available for both weddings and receptions. To discuss rentals for the Church Street Auditorium, contact Juanita Arceneaux at jarceneaux@sharingtheheart.org.
